La vue sur la baie est magnifique, un endroit parfait pour se détendre et se déconnecter. Nous avons été accueillis sur le quai par Dimitri, le proprietaire qui chaque matin au petit déjeuner (gargantuesque!) nous a indiqués des idées de randonnées et de visites et a partagé ses bonnes adresses. On a beaucoup apprécié la gentillesse de notre hôte ainsi que d'Yvonne, sa femme. Tout au long de notre séjour, Dimitri a proposé de venir nous chercher en voiture à gauche à droite et il nous a redéposés à notre bateau. Bref nous étions comme des coqs en pàte! Nous étions cependant autonomes avec un quad et je conseille vivement un moyen de locomotion pour profiter de cette île au charme fou et ...du grand bleu!

We had an amazing stay at Theoreion. Everything was beyond our expectations. The apartment was comfortable and clean, with a beautiful view on the Aegiali bay. 
 The thing we appreciated the most was Dimitrios and Ivonne's hospitality. It truly made our visit of the island the highlight of our trip through the Cyclades. They made us feel at home and they shared all their best secrets of the island. We also started our days with a delicious breakfast made of local products. Amorgos ist unbeschreiblich schön, Thereion mit seinen warmherzigen Vermietern setzt die Krone auf. Wir haben uns so sehr wohlgefühlt und wären gerne länger geblieben. Dimitrios und Ivonne haben uns verwöhnt mit guten Tipps für eine Wanderung und Einkehrmöglichkeiten. Nicht zu vergessen der leckere Kuchen. Es macht Spaß sich mit Ihnen zu unterhalten und mehr über die Insel kennenzulernen. Die Aussicht von der Terrasse ist nicht zu toppen. Wir denken jetzt schon über das nächste Mal nach.

The best choice we could have possibly made. And probably the best guesthouse in the whole island of Amorgos. The amount of care and dedication this family has put is noteworthy and a true hymn to the famous Greek hospitality. - The room was spacious, clean, with an incredible view to the Aegiali bay and the mountains. It was being cleaned every day and a new bottle of fresh water was provided ( no drinking water in the Cyclades) - Our host not only had prepared a lovely and super helpful guide for the island which he sent to us via message, but also offer to assist us with our transports. His recommendations definitely helped us experience the best of Amorgos in terms of food, drinks and activities. He was kind, polite, understanding, knowledgeable and very professional. - If you do choose to include breakfast in your booking, be prepared for a three course breakfast made with local ingredients, some of them from their own garden. Tout était parfait. La vue est magnifique, le lieu est un petit paradis, Dimitrios est aux petits soins pendant toute la durée du séjour. Pas besoin de préparer vos excursions: Dimitrios vous conseillera en fonction de vos envies, de la météo, de la durée de votre séjour. Les petits déjeuners (sur demande) sont excellents, très bien présentés, différents chaque jour, préparés avec des produits frais locaux livrés le matin, ainsi qu'avec les fruits du jardin. Choisissez ce logement pour votre séjour sur l'île, c'est un sans-faute ! Merci Dimitrios pour votre accueil, conseils sur les visites, anecdotes, vous méritez d'être complet chaque jour de l'année!

one of the best stay I’ve ever experienced! Dimitrios and his wife Ivonne have made our stay in Amorgos a unique experience. The room in itself is very modern (recently renovated), clean, very comfy and the terrace is huge with a beautiful view over Aegiali! I can only recommend this place and can’t wait to go back for a stay there! Dimitrios also offered us homemade fresh breakfast which was delicious, not to mention all the small attentions in the room (homemade cookies, local raki…)

C'est avec une grande émotion que nous quittons Theoreion, tout était au delà de nos attentes. Yvonne et Dimitrios, un jeune couple qui a quitté Londres pour retrouver du sens, vous accueille dans la propriété familiale avec la seule volonté de vous faire partager le meilleur d'Amorgos. Les appartements ont été renovés avec goût, pour proposer un confort moderne tout en étant respectueux de l'âme Grecque. Vous y trouverez tout le nécessaire, la vue y est absolument splendide, certainement une des meilleures de l'ile. Le petit déjeuner est incroyable, Yvonne est une cuisinière hors pair, qui utilise des produits locaux, bio et du jardin pour vous préparer des plats somptueux (le pain est préparé sur place). Dimitrios est un enfant de l'île qui s'avère un précieux guide pour vous indiquer les choses a voir, plages et restaurants. Nous sommes des voyageurs exigeants, et il est difficile de trouver les mots pour exprimer la façon incroyable avec laquelle nous avons été reçu, sans intrusivité. We had the most idyllic stay here, the view from the balcony on arrival in the evening is just beautiful. The room was perfect and had a beautiful bathroom too,. The view in the morning when you opened the shutters was breathtaking. Our hosts can only be described as exceptional, Ioanna collected us from the port and on the short trip to the house shared lots of useful information. We had the pleasure of meeting Sofia having ordered breakfast for the morning of our departure. I have never enjoyed such an experience as course upon course was served, all of which was homemade and served with such kindness, the pancakes were simply amazing as was everything. Sofia is one in a million Dimitri, treasure her & please tell her that we adored her cake which she wrapped up for us to take on our travels and we're enjoying her peach jam as we speak from Ios.

We will be back. Our AC unit wasn't as cold as expected (during a heat wave) but management responded to our concern immediately and had the problem fixed promptly! They were great!

Accueil exceptionnel d'Ivonne et Dimitri qui se mettent en quatre pour leurs hôtes. Dimitri est même venu nous chercher au port de Katapola, situé à 30 km de chez eux. Chaque matin, nous avons pu déguster un delicieux petit déjeuner, chaque jour différent, préparé uniquement avec des produits frais, bio, dont les fruits du jardin. Les moments d'échanges avec Dimitri et Ivonne ont été riches et vraiment très agréables. L'appartement, doté d'une grande terrasse, offre une vue imprenable sur la baie d'Aegiali et sur la montagne.

La première chose qui me vient c'est la vue qui est exceptionnelle! Ensuite la beauté du lieu. L'appartement est très joli, on s'y sent très bien. C'est beau et reposant. Le petit-déjeuner, que Dimitrios et Yvonne proposent est juste super chouette, et les hôtes sont super gentils et se donnent beaucoup de peine pour que tout soit parfait. Les moustiques! Ai...il faut fermer la fenêtre le soir et allumer la clim, mais bon c'est un peu inévitable en été 🤭...et puis où qu'on aille (plage, manger...) il faut monter fort, hauteur du lieu oblige, la prochaine fois nous louerons une voiture....☺️ La vue en vaut tout de même la peine.... During our family trip to the Greek islands, we had the pleasure of visiting the stunning Amorgos for the first time. Our stay at Theorieon was nothing short of extraordinary. Perched on the mountainside, the hotel offered a spectacular view of the mountains and the Aegean Sea that was simply mesmerizing. It was just a 15-minute walk from the beach, making it even more convenient. The rooms were of good standard, and we particularly loved the charming terrace outside. Our host was truly exceptional, providing excellent service and being incredibly helpful throughout our stay. The optional breakfast was a real treat, and we indulged in it several times. It was a fantastic spread with a touch of craftsmanship - using ingredients sourced from their garden and local farmers, everything was fresh and delicious. We truly hope to visit again someday, to relish more of the island's beauty and spend time with the wonderful hosts. Many thanks for an unforgettable experience!

Knowledge of the area and recommendations from our host were great so we ate at some delicious and unique restaurants and swam at beautiful beaches. Dimitrios and Ivonne provided excellent guidance and tips for hiking, swimming, adventuring and dining, as well as thoughtful cultural insights. Firstly, I would like to point out that Amorgos is the land of hardworking, passionate, dedicated and friendly folk. I am amazed of the warmth of the people that we have met here. The food is beyond any expectation any critic could possibly have. They do everything to the perfection and they do it since the beginning of times. To talk about the Theoreion… I can only say that Ivonne and Dimitrios were just filling our hearts with their kindness, hospitality and empathy. It is as if our comfort and our thirst of experiencing the island was their only purpose. We felt like a part of their family and I really hope our paths cross in the future. The rooms were exquisitely clean every single day of our stay, Dimitrios provided us with the world class coffee that Starbucks couldn’t compete with and Ivonne tickled our tastebuds with snacks that melted in our mouths. And the view from the terrace is worth a thousand words! Our daughter got the most attention and the first thing in the morning on her wishlist was to go downstairs to Ivonne. This is a place that everyone should visit and experience what very few, if no places in the world can provide. I wish Ivonne and Dimitrios the best of luck in the future at reshaping the term “philoxenia” and showing everyone how it should be done.
